Landlords mistreating tenants? (Gasp!)  Of course there’s a strong economic incentive for landlords to subject tenants to this kind of behavior.  But, it’s not right.

Renting is a two way street.  By renting units the bad economic times, landlords are receiving money for units that would otherwise be vacant.  Now, with the economy up, they have to give a little bit.  They traded fast, immediate cash for lower future earnings.  If they wanted to garner higher rents, they should’ve just left the unit empty during the recession.

Somewhere in the universe, there’s a special hell for landlords who pull crap like this.
